Jump to your other display. Keep typing.
HopFocus moves your pointer and your keyboard focus together. Press one shortcut and you land where you were working on that display, in the app you were using, ready to type.
The problem
With two or more displays, switching means finding the pointer, dragging it across, then clicking into the window before you can type again. Tools that jump the pointer save the drag, but you still have to click first.
How it works
- You are typing in an app on your external display. Press ⌃1.
- The pointer lands on your built-in display at the exact spot you last used there, with a brief highlight so you see where.
- The app you were using on that display is active again. Keep typing; no click needed.
- Press ⌃2 and you are back in the app on the external display, just as you left it.
Focus on Switch, without permissions
Bringing the right app back is what makes the jump useful, and HopFocus does it without Accessibility or any other permission. It notes which app is active only at the moment you press a shortcut, and never reads window titles or contents.
